ATLANTA ICE STORM JANUARY 11, 2011

I have been wanting to start a Blog for some time and what better to do than during an historic ice storm.  I have reconciled my bank account, sorted by sock drawer, seperated several necklace chains, had lunch and knocked the ice off the satellite dish.  You know this is the truth because no one could make this stuff up.The roads are iced and my driveway is a sky sloap.  I may not make it back to work until Friday.  By then I will have cleaned out every closet and started on the garage.  My husband looks like the wide-eyed deer caught in headlights.

The purpose of my Blog is to concentrate mostly on my art.  I have been painting, on and off, for  more than 20 years.  More seriously the last 5 or 6 years.  I mostly paint with oil and sometimes, arcrylic.  I have tried collage, which is a lot of fun.  Watercolor, well, let's just say, "I have a great respect for Watercolor Artist".  My work has been in at least 3 to 4 shows a year in the area.  More recently, a collage on display in the "Brainstorm" exhibit at the Central Library, Atlanta, GA.  I call the piece, "A Self Portrait, Beside Myself".  If I can figure out how to attach a copy to this blog, I will.  The entire exhibit, sponsored by the Women's Caucus for Art, Georgia Chapter of which I am a member, has been invited to move to the Upstairs Artspace in Tyron, NC.  This is an exciting opportunity and I love being a part of the Brainstorm  exhibit.
